PROJECT ONE — TOD Urban Development, China

PROJECT ONE — TOD Urban Development, China

Project Description

Project One is an urban-scale conceptual masterplan developed in China, based on the principles of Transit-Oriented Development (TOD). The project explores a new model of city structure where urban growth is directly integrated with railway infrastructure and public transportation systems.

The core idea of the project is to create a compact, highly efficient urban environment where mobility, business activity, and residential development are organized around major transport hubs. The city is designed as a functional system rather than a traditional expansion model, with strong emphasis on rail connectivity, accessibility, and mixed-use development.

The concept reflects modern approaches to sustainable urbanization in China, where transportation infrastructure becomes the main driver of economic and spatial development. The project also considers the role of the city as a regional logistics and business node within a larger transportation network.

My Role & Responsibilities

 1. Developed full urban-scale TOD conceptual masterplan independently.

 2. Designed city structure based on railway and transport-oriented development principles.

 3. Organized functional zoning between residential, commercial, and logistics districts.

 4. Created spatial hierarchy centered around transport nodes and mobility corridors.

 5. Developed conceptual urban 3D massing models for the entire city structure.

 6. Analyzed integration of infrastructure systems within urban development framework.

 7. Produced visual presentations of the urban concept for academic and design review.
